Privacy Policy and Data Handling

This notice explains how CSDitto processes personal data when you use the service.

1. Data controller

CSDitto is operated by the site operator, who acts as the data controller for personal data processed via this website. Contact details are provided at the end of this notice.

2. Personal data we process

CSDitto applies the principle of data minimisation. The service is designed to avoid retaining personal data and to process only what is necessary to provide the service.

2.1 Identifiers you provide

  • Steam64 ID and/or Steam custom profile alias (to perform lookups and return results).

2.2 Web server logs

Like most websites, our hosting environment processes standard access and security logs to operate the site and protect it from abuse. These logs may include:

  • IP address
  • Date and time of requests
  • Requested URL
  • HTTP status codes
  • User agent and referrer (if provided by your browser)

3. Leetify data

CSDitto may retrieve data from the Leetify API to generate results. CSDitto does not store Leetify data. Leetify responses are processed transiently (in-memory) and discarded after the response is returned to you. This is intended to operate in line with Leetify’s data handling requirements.

4. Cookies

CSDitto does not use cookies for analytics, advertising, marketing, or behavioural tracking.

Our hosting platform may set a strictly necessary cookie (for example, a load-balancing or session affinity cookie) to ensure reliable delivery of the service. If present, it is essential for operation and is not used for tracking.

5. Purposes and lawful bases

  • Providing the service (processing Steam identifiers to fulfil your request): performance of a contract (UK GDPR/GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
  • Security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting (server logging and operational monitoring): legitimate interests (UK GDPR/GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).

6. Retention

  • Steam64 ID / alias: not retained by CSDitto beyond processing your request.
  • Leetify data: not stored; processed transiently and discarded.
  • Web server logs: retained only for operational and security purposes and typically rotated automatically by the hosting environment.

7. Sharing

CSDitto does not sell personal data and does not share personal data for marketing. To provide the service, data may be processed by our hosting provider and by third-party APIs you request we query (for example, Leetify).

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and portability. As CSDitto does not maintain user accounts and is designed not to retain third-party API data, the information we can practically action is limited to what is processed at request time and what may exist in server/security logs.
